If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.Published on 18 March 2018
No racing for me this weekend. And I’m thankful for that. Maybe I’ve become too accustomed to riding in the ambient temperature of my dining room, but snow and a -7° wind chill factor really is not my cup of tea.
So I put on a big jacket and turned team-photographer for the day, leaving it to Craig, Norris, Eddie, Dutts and Johnny to step into their lycra and take the start for the first West Drayton Specialized Crit of the year at Hillingdon.
The race blew to pieces on the second lap with the strong wind catching a lot of riders out. From that point on there were 5 separate groups on the circuit all having their own races. It looked truly brutal out there today and I was happy enough to not be involved.
The team secured 2 riders in the points, with Craig and Norris bringing home 6th and 7th respectively. Much much kudos to them, and the whole team on a very difficult day.
